This is a two-part structure for improvisers, suitable for anyone with grounding across all key signatures/modes. Unpitched percussion may be included, but at least one pitched instrument is needed per part. Piano/guitar/similar chordal instrument needed for part 1 (can be adapted for 4 mallets).

The first in a series of pieces exploring off-grid timescales; the frequency and pacing of life. This piece is for keyboard soloist (piano, vibraphone, other instruments welcome) with fixed audio accompaniment. The audio is the score and the performer improvises off the grid throughout. Improvisation experience is helpful but not essential.
